Part 2 of our fit out is getting the ceiling plastered. Due to the fact that the floor polishers were booked in for Monday, we had to quickly find a plasterer at short notice to get the job done. We posted a request on Service Central in the morning and got some responses back that afternoon. We were then able to get a couple of quotes and confirm a plasterer in 32hrs. The power of the internet is amazing and Service Central has been amazing.
It is interesting how quickly Nige and Chow were able to plaster the ceiling, even after talking to Nige about how he isn't even the fastest plasterer around. Some guys must really be quick if that's the case.
The next step in finishing the ceiling is to have the vents cut for the air conditioning, a coat of paint and then to the lighting. However, as always with the time and availability of tradesman, we have to wait til the concrete floor is polished before we can get back into the space. We will be back in about a week and a half when the floor has dried. In the meantime we will be working off-site building what we can with our builder Gerard Cranny.
We've also enjoyed everyone who has popped in to say hello over the last 2 weeks. It has been great to hear everyone's overwhelming positive response to our idea and the excitement that The Stinking Bishops will be opening soon on Enmore Rd.
