We have a small delivery of the delicious 2013 Morgon 'Javernières' by Louis Desvignes. This Gamay is light to medium in structure, hints of strawberries with savoury mushroom notes, there's an amazing depth of complexity with this wine that makes it worthy of the Cru Morgon classification. Think savoury Burgundy pinot than typical Beaujolais. If there were a classification of vineyards in Morgon, Côte-de-Py would be a premier cru and Javernières a grand cru.
